Slam

In the book ”Slam” who is written by Nich Hornby, you hear about the young boy Sam. He is a 16 year old boy, who tells about his life as a teenager. Nick Hornby is a very good writer, and has other books like “ a long way down” in 2005, “31 songs” in 2003, “How to bee good “, and some other books.

Sam is very interested in skaiting. He also loves art and design, and wants to study that when he goes to high school. His parents are divorced and he lives with his mum. Sam does not have very much contact with his father. He dosent have someone to talk to about skaiting, girls and stuff like that.On his wall he has a picture of Tony Hawk, his rolemodel, and he talks to him. Tony Hawk is by the way a very famous skater. Sometimes Tony talks back to Sam, and gives him answers. In the book Sam gets a girlfriend named Alica. They spend a lot of time together, but after a while they get sick of another. One day they dicide to have sex without using protection. That did`nt go so well, because after some months Alica told Sam that she is late with her periode. So they diside to buy a pregnencytest. Sam did`nt want to know the answer so he ran away to Hasting. Only after a day he returns back home, to take responsebility for his actions. In the book Sam dreamsd about how his future is going to be, and his dreams turned out to be true. He and Alica got a baby named Rufus, but they call him Roof. Alica and Sam dont live together, and they both start dating other people. Everything ended well in the book.

I realy liked the novel, Sam is a typical teenager and alot of young people would probably feel the same way in alot of his reactions. I enjoyd reading the book and it was easy to understand.
